The Manor House:

The main house is a combination of two Federal style brick houses (5 course flemish bond) put together creating two front porticos and interior stairwells. The original house is believed to be built in the 1830s with the other half added in 1842. The house was completely renovated (saved) in the early 1990s when it was painstakingly rebuilt. All the window glass was removed and salvaged and placed back in the rebuilt windows. The air condition duct work was build internally behind plaster walls and build into the wood crown moldings. The house has 11 and 12 foot ceilings, hear pine original floors on the first and second floor. The basement is a combination of cherry floors (trees cut from the property) and a herringbone pattern brick floor in the garden room and winter kitchen (now a living room). The Manor consists of three bedroom suites, two upstairs and one in the basement level. The grand from hall is flanked on either side by a formal living room and dining room (both 16x20). The kitchen enjoys a year round screen porch overlooking the garden and it is extremely pleasant with consistent use in any weather. There are working fireplaces in virtually every room, 9 total and one of them gas logs in the master bathroom.

Pool House:

The Pool House is a two story brick house which is a historic registered landmark. The first floor features an open-plan library with billiard table and a wood burning fireplace perfect for taking the chill out of an autumn night. There is also a bar area with small kitchenette and guest bathroom. The second floor has a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom replete with a steam/sauna shower. There is a guest bedroom also with an en-suite bathroom. The Pool House has a gracious porch which is facing the estates forty-five-foot lap pool.

The Carriage House:

The Carriage House is a two-bedroom cottage located on the second floor of the building with bucolic views of the surrounding countryside. It features a tastefully appointed master bedroom and guest bedroom with two single beds. Thoughtfully decorated with spacious open plan living area, a full kitchen and dining area. With its high ceilings and natural light, the bathroom features a large antique tub and glass shower.

The Cabin:

The historic cabin located high on a hill at the estate and is wonderful for total solitude and unparalleled views of the Blue Ridge Mountains and a stunning pond in the foreground. It features an open plan living area decorated with hunting memorabilia which transports guests back to days gone by in the wilderness. A bedroom and work area on the second floor. In keeping with the call of the wild, the cabin also features a traditional outhouse.

Guest House:

The Cottage at Toms Road was home to the Farm Managers family for generations. Now completely restored and refurbished, it is perfect for families or guests looking to stay longer at Highbrighton. The Cottage features a master bedroom with en-suite bathroom and waterfall shower. There are two smaller guest rooms both graciously appointed and welcoming. A large living area and dining room with an open plan, fully-equipped, modern kitchen complete the house.

Barns and Buildings:

There are several machine barns in addition to a 6 car detached garage and woodworking shop. There is an additional 3-stall stable with fenced paddocks and run in sheds, so the property is ready for horses.

Events and Venues:

Highbrighton has historically been known for its shooting events and the farm has been managed for decades to promote active wildlife and game. In addition driven shoots the farm is also a wedding venue with a commercial grade wedding tent and stand alone kitchen the farm is well positioned to accommodate a significant wedding party.
