CHICKASAWHAY RIVER. The majority of the propertys western border is 1.65 miles of Chickasawhay River frontage. Invite your friends and family to enjoy the beautiful, huge white sandbars that dot the shoreline. On the other hand, you could simply enjoy the peace and solitude this much waterfront real estate affords. During the summer months, one particular sandbar stretches for nearly 10 acres. Sturdy enough for ATVs, these sandbars offer excellent spots for swimming, sunbathing, relaxing, camping out, or bonfires. Launch your kayak or innertube from the northernmost point and spend a lazy afternoon just floating the river. Set out trotlines or use a pole to fish for catfish, bass, and bream. Spend some time along the river searching for fossils as the Chickasawhay is known for its fossil deposits dating back 35 million years. TRAIL RIDING. Many miles of well-maintained roads open up lots of possibilities for the interior of the property including fantastic trail riding opportunities. Whether your preference is equestrian, wheels, or even hiking, the natural hardwoods provide ample shade coverage while the easily accessible winding trails provide endless options for exploration.

HUNTING. More than 275 acres of GR555 are in a beautiful natural hardwood bottom with large diameter hardwoods. The balance of the timbered acreage is in various ages of longleaf pine. This area of South Mississippi is known for its plentiful whitetail deer and turkey populations. All small game typical to this area are also abundant here. A power transmission line crosses the property providing open acreage for food plots or shooting lanes.

EXCELLENT CAMP SITE. An older camp house was located near the center of the property. Power has already been run the one-half mile to this area, which would make an excellent site for a camp house or recreational vehicle pad. The electric service provider for this area is Singing River EPA.
