We took advantage of natural travel routes and located these kill plots in areas that lend themselves to easy entry and exit to take advantage of deer staging before entering the destination plots. With baiting being legal in Kentucky, it’s often times important to “defensively” feed, because it’s almost guaranteed that your neighbors are. To address this we located 3 Banks gravity deer feeders in strategic locations to allow them to be easily filled without disturbing sanctuary areas. These are ideal whether it’s for defensive feeding or offering nutritional supplements. Finally, we addressed hunter comfort. We installed 3 elevated Banks Outdoors hunting blinds and positioned them keeping entry and exit in mind for low impact hunting. We also installed 3 premium 22’ Muddy ladder stands ideal for bow or gun hunting and extremely comfortable. While all this work was going on we were busy taking inventory. We were pleasantly surprised at the quality and numbers of deer and turkeys on the property, especially considering all the construction projects going on during the hunting season. Several of these bucks spent the entire season on the property and appear to have survived the 2018 season.
