The land is steep in areas but accessible to 4 wheelers and side by sides. The owner said he has never had to pack an animal out but has used his 4 wheelers every time. There are a lot of old logging roads in good shape that you can use to traverse the property also. Two creeks flow through the land and there are good springs throughout. Pine, fir and juniper are the principle timber types.
The owner has harvested an elk every year he has been there except for one year where he was laid up because of surgery. There are quite a few in there especially starting in July/August. It would be a great bow hunting area because of the springs and good cover. Buck hunting is also very good with good vistas to spot and hunt. In fact, that is the way that the owner hunts quite a few of the areas on the ranch. He spots the elk/deer and then arranges his hunt . Sometimes it is bedding them down and then making a hunt, but it depends on how fast they are moving. Turkeys are on the ranch and around the cabin. He has a great many pictures of animals that his game camera has taken. It is somewhat of a wild and secluded area to hunt but with great vistas and quite a few open areas.
An 800 sq.ft. cabin that is newly built is located at the northeast corner of the 800 acres.
It has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, living room, bathroom and a deck. It is very nice as evidenced by the pictures . The owner uses a 275 gallon water tank that he fills from a spring near the cabin and takes it above the cabin to be hooked up. It works very well and is easy to work with. The cabin looks over an east facing slope where he views elk.
The 1120 acres are priced at $818,000.
