Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc. has been authorized to manage the sale of 114 acres, more or less, of timberland in Grant County, Arkansas.

Location: The Grant County tract is located four (4) miles east of Lono and is further described as Part of SE of SW, Part of E of SW of SW, Section 6; Part of NE of NW, Part of E of NW of NW, N of SE of NW, Part of SW of NW, Section 7; all located in Township 6 South, Range 15 West, containing a total of 114 acres, more or less, Grant County, Arkansas. Tract Description: Logging access is from west, from former county road (gated) off Brashears Trail or Phillips Cemetery Road. Timber consists of multiple aged pine stands. Streamside Management Zone consists of hardwood sawtimber and pulpwood. Pine site index averages 80 feet (base age 50) on fine sandy loams. Terrain is flat to gently rolling. May be possible to log part of the property the majority of the year. The property offers excellent timber investment plus deer and turkey hunting opportunities.

Merchantable Timber: Kingwood Forestry conducted an inventory of merchantable timber (one plot / point per two acres) of merchantable timber in February, 2016. Based on Kingwood's inventory, estimated tree counts and timber volumes are as follows:

Pine Sawtimber: 5,175 Trees; 707,454 BF; 5,072 Tons

Pine CNS: 286 Trees; 7,981 BF; 93 Tons

Red Oak Sawtimber: 186 Trees; 23,814 BF; 170 Tons

White Oak Sawtimber: 77 Trees; 5,418 BF; 47 Tons

Gum & Misc. Sawtimber: 194 Trees; 18,204 BF; 147 Tons

Pine Pulpwood: 6,298 Trees; 1,218 Tons

Hardwood Pulpwood: 5,594 Trees; 1,303 Tons

Method of Sale: The tract will be sold on the basis of lump sum sealed bids. Mailed offers should be addressed to Kingwood Forestry Services, Inc., P.O. Box 65, Arkadelphia, AR 71923 with "Grant County Land Sale" clearly marked in the lower left corner of the envelope to protect security of the offer. An offer form is attached. Bids will be opened at the Kingwood Forestry office at #4 Executive Circle, Arkadelphia, Arkansas at 10:00 a.m., Friday, May 27, 2016. On mailed offers please call our office prior to bid opening to confirm receipt of offer. Buyers submitting offers are welcome to attend the bid opening. Offers may be delivered by fax to 8702463341.
