The Red Dirt Creek Ranch is located just outside the town of Kremmling Colorado, 45 minutes from Silverthorne, Steamboat, Grand Lake, Winter Park an hour form Vail and 2 hours from Denver. The ranch is approximately 5 miles from Wolford reservoir which is known for its excellent fishing and boating in the summer months and ice fishing in the winter months. Kremmling is a quiet little town known as the Sportsmans Paradise because of its exceptional recreation attributes including fishing in the Colorado and Blue Rivers as well as in Muddy Creek and multiple lakes and reservoirs plus exceptional big game hunting on hundreds of thousands of acres in numerous National Forests in the area. The town of Kremmling includes a private airport, hospital, grocery store, hardware stores, barber and beauty salon, several restaurants, and a handful of boutiques and shops.

Red Dirt Creek ranch has a beautiful, custom built 2744 sq foot log home with 3 bedrooms and 3 baths built in 2003. The home has a very nice 800 sq foot deck that wraps around the south and east sides of the home overlooking Red Dirt Creek. Inside the home, the floorplan is full of wide open spaces for friends and family, perfect for entertaining.

The ranch has been used as a full time residence as well as a family retreat / getaway destination and hunting camp throughout the years. The Arapaho National Forest consists of 723,744 acres. The forest is located in the Rocky Mountains, straddling the continental divide in the Front Range west of Denver. It was established on July 1, 1908 by President Theodore Roosevelt and named for the Arapaho tribe of Native Americans which previously inhabited the Colorado Eastern Plains. The forest includes part of the high Rockies and river valleys in the upper watershed of the Colorado River and South Platte River. The forest is largely in Grand and Clear Creek counties, but spills over into neighboring (in descending order of land area) Gilpin, Park, Routt, Jackson, and Jefferson counties.

The ranch has excellent mule deer habitat & hunting, a mule deer scoring 225 was harvested on the ranch in recent years. Elk hunting in early seasons would be best on the accessible Arapaho National Forest but during the later seasons, elk can be harvested on the ranch. The ranch is located in game management unit 27.

The fishing on the ranch would be mostly for brook trout and some smaller rainbow in its current configuration but could be improved to make a very nice fishery with a number of ponds throughout the riparian areas.

There is excellent fishing in the nearby Wolford Reservoir as well as in the Colorado and Blue Rivers and on Muddy Creek.

Red Dirt Creek currently meanders for .85 of a mile though the property and could be developed into an excellent fishery with numerous ponds throughout the lower portion of the ranch. There are also several small beaver ponds on the property along Red Dirt Creek and natural springs that are used by livestock and game throughout the property.
