This 340± acre tract is located approximately nine miles from downtown Goliad, off Hwy 2441, in Goliad County. It is bordered by a 40,000 acre O’Connor ranch on its north side and several 200+ acre tracts along its south side. It has Hwy 2441 frontage to the east and several small tracts to its immediate west. This is an excellent hunting property as well as cattle grazing ranch. There are four wells, a pond, 40± acre coastal field, equipment barn, cattle pens and a windmill with cistern. One well is located on the upper east end and is solar powered with a fiberglass tank and watering trough. The second well is electric and is adjacent to the coastal field. It is equipped with a small bladder tank and a watering trough. Two others are located towards the rear of the property. The coastal field typically yields three cuttings of hay a year. Coverage on the property varies from scattered to thick brush and lots of oaks. There is a pipeline ROW that runs on a forty five degree angle across the property which makes for a perfect hunting sendero. In the last few years there have been several quality deer taken on the property and the quail population fluctuates with yearly rainfall. Dove hunting is also good, especially around the tank. Food plots and additional hunting lanes will only enhance this already nice hunting property. The deer pictured are from the last five years and include a 140 B&C class 10 point in 2002 and a 150 B&C class 13 point taken in 2003. This year we have shot a 10 pointer and two large 8 pointers.
