This historic West Texas retreat features the finest in amenities for relaxing and enjoying the outdoors. Located just minutes southeast of Midland, Texas, this property is convenient via air travel and offers easy access to dining/shopping in the Midland/Odessa area. However, once on the ranch you will enjoy the peace and quiet of being way out in West Texas. This area is known for its famous sunsets and big pretty sky.
The current owner has spared no expense in creating the ultimate retreat atmosphere with the finest accommodations and amenities. There are a total of five living quarters featuring two main lodges, a guest home, a foremans house, and an additional guest apartment adjoining the large workshop. Water is abundant! Three windmills, two solar wells, and three taps in a CRMWD water line crossing the ranch, as well as two additional wells not currently in use. There are several ponds fed by the wells for continuous water supply for wildlife. The continuous updating of the ranch includes several additional ponds currently being constructed. Having this much water supply in West Texas is an incredible asset.
The quail are awesome but its not just a quail ranch! The Wrage has some incredible whitetail deer. The deer hunting pressure has been minimal for at least the past five years. Almost three miles of the ranch perimeter is high fenced. Year round feeding and good management have allowed the trophy buck population to flourish. The abundant water creates some fantastic dove hunting. Wild Rio Grande Turkeys are also in the area for some great springtime hunting. All deer blinds and feeders are generously included in the sale of this ranch for a turn-key hunting operation.
All parts of the Wrage are easily accessible with great roads throughout. No oil and gas minerals convey but the owners will enjoy the benefits of the production due to the great roads throughout. The easy terrain and great roads make it convenient to travel around the ranch.
