The cabin was built in 1950 and has been very well maintained. It features 2+ bedrooms and 1 bath plus an additional loft area that could be a 3rd bedroom. The living area has gorgeous tongue and groove knotty pine walls and ceilings with a neat central brick fireplace with woodstove insert. There are separate living and dining areas and a full kitchen. The main bedroom downstairs has a separate exit to the outside. This is a warm and comfortable living space. It feels good. Outside you can enjoy all of the serenity of the surrounding forest on a beautiful wood deck that is perfect for entertaining. Access to the cabin from the main road is by a 1/4 mile graveled easement road to this and one other property. The cabin has been very successful as an Air-B&B property over the last 2 years and has been very highly rated by visitors. The cabin will come completely furnished except for some personal items that the seller will retain.

As always, I tell you about any negatives. Yes, it's a 1950 cabin. It is old, but it's also in great shape. Elevation is at 4,000 feet, so you can expect the occasional winter snow. But, you are below the permanent snowline so you do have all year access. Also, the 4,000 foot elevation also means you won't have the sweltering summer heat of the valley. The water source is a natural spring. Most properties have a drilled well but this spring has been very adequately providing water for over 70 years.

This is a rare property. A truly gorgeous forest setting just off of Hwy 245 and less than 10 miles to the entrance to Kings Canyon and Sequoia National Parks. It has amazing seclusion amid a wealth of native conifers and you are in walking distance to Pinehurst Lodge. What a place to just disappear from the clamor of the big city. Showings are by appointment only with 24 hour notice. Don't expect to find fancy, but do expect a well built cabin in a truly serene setting.
