Big Onion Creek Ranch is located approximately 9 miles south of Waxahachie, TX, and is only a 15-minute drive. It is less than 30 minutes to Hillsboro, TX, and only 40 minutes to downtown Dallas, TX. The property falls within the central portion of Ellis County. Big Onion Creek runs just south of the ranch. Big Onion Creek Ranch has approximately 600 feet of paved road access off of Forreston Road and just under 4,000 feet of access along Onion Creek County Road.

Land:

The land has 40’ of gentle topographic variance that slopes from north to south. The pasture is well maintained and produces an average of 800 +/- round bales per year. The existing fences are in good condition, including a new piped gate entrance located along Forreston Road. The soils are mainly comprised of Houston Black clay, with a small amount of Stephen silty clay and Stephen-Eddy complex. There are some small clusters of Cottonwood trees scattered throughout.

Cattle:

With the completion of some sections of fencing or the use of hot wire fencing, the ranch will support 20 +/- pairs.

Water / Power:

Water is supplied to the area by the Brazos Valley Co-op. There is not a water meter at the property, but there is one located approximately 600 feet down Forreston Road. Power is also run to the same nearby location.
