Matheson Irrigated Crop & Pasture

This 280-acre tract (+/-) is located a short-distance east of Matheson, Colorado in eastern Elbert County. Access is provided by US Highway 24 via Resolis Road.  Three center pivot sprinklers (Valley - Pivots #1 & #2 & Zimmatic - Pivot #3) combine to irrigate 160-acres at a pumping rate of 449 gallons per minute.  The (3) irrigation wells range from 58 to 60 feet in drilled depth and are approved at a commingled annual appropriation of 400-acre feet.  In addition to the irrigated land, there are approximately 120-acres of native grass pasture primarily contained adjacent south of the Big Sandy Creek drainage.  Soils are combination of loam and sandy loam. Pivot irrigated land near Colorado Springs is rare (less than 45-minutes).  Call Brent Hedrick for questions or to schedule a qualified showing.
