Location:

The scenic route to the Nueces River Ranch is a fifteen minute drive from Barksdale on FM 335. The ranch lies along both sides of the highway and is 13.2 miles north of town.

From Houston Area: There are 2 options once you get to San Antonio.

Kerrville Route Scenic Route and 40 minutes shorter:

Take I-10 to San Antonio

Take the Anderson Loop 1604 West/right

Travel 27 miles on Loop

Take I-10 exit West/right. Go 66 miles on I-10 and

Exit Hwy 41 and turn left. Go 46 miles.

It takes 40 minutes to get to 335

Turn left on 335 (very scenic)

Go 15.8 miles on 335 (20 minutes)

Ranch entry is on the right

Look for NRR signs, green pipe, & old house.

Uvalde Route:

Take I-10 thru San Antonio

Take 90 out of San Antonio to Uvalde

In downtown Uvalde, take 83 north/right

for approx 2 miles .

Turn left onto Hwy 55 - Travel 42 miles on Hwy 55.

Go thru Campwood and Barksdale

After Barksdale there is a Y

Take 335 to the right.

Go 13.2 miles on 335 (15 minutes)

Ranch entry is on the left after the

2nd Nueces River Crossing

Look for NRR signs, green pipe, & old house.

From Austin Area:

Take 290 from Austin to Fredericksburg

**Note jog right on 281 to Johnson City

then left in town to continue onto Hwy 290

In Fredericksburg, turn left on Hwy 16

Go 15 miles to I-10 to Kerrville

Turn right / west on I-10. Go approx 20 miles

Exit Hwy 41 and turn left. Go 46 miles.

It takes 40 minutes to get to 335

Turn left on 335 (very scenic)

Go 15.8 miles (20 minutes)

Ranch entry is on the right

Look for NRR signs, green pipe, and old

house by the road.
