This Elk herd has some of the longest genetics in the US. Traced back to a bull elk named Cassius. It has been CWD tested for over a quarter century. All the elk mounts on site are from this ranch over the years. There is an information sheet in associated docs that gives more specific information on all the amenities and what all is staying. The land is beautiful with lots of open rolling lands and some treed hills and plenty of ravines and canyons for Elk to hide. Hunts here are on foot and the Elk are not baited. Buffalo can run with Elk so this is an option of new owner wanted to do that. This has been done here in the past. As well as big horn sheep. Deer can not be run with Elk. But there are plenty of deer on the USFS around. The barn has a wonderful shop area fully stocked with tools, a tractor, pickup, 4 wheeler, etc.. There is a large walk in cooler and butchering area. Part of the barn is set up with stalls/chutes and a squeeze chute so Elk can get their annual inoculations and be inspected. Caretakers manufactured home sits on its own 50 acres 3 bed/2 bth 1680 sq ft with its own well. Please allow some lead time for showings as one of the listing agents needs to be present.
