Kimbril Farm is 163 acres of pasture, woods and cutover near the small town of Highland Home in Crenshaw County, AL. It is conveniently located on Montgomery Highway (Hwy 331) about 30 minutes south of Montgomery and 12 miles north of Luverne. It features approximately 75 acres of Bahia grass pasture, a two-acre spring-fed pond, several spring-fed creeks and four-strand barbed wire fence around the entire property. For the past 20+ years, it has been used for raising cattle. As would be expected for a property this size and in this area, the deer and turkey hunting is excellent! The farm has produced a 10-point, 136-class buck and many more mature bucks in recent years.

The creek in the SE corner has an amazing waterfall that drops five feet from a rock ledge (please see pictures). The two-acre pond is also

Kimbril Farm has power, public water, and septic tank. The owners had a mobile home on the farm for many years but it has been removed. There is an equipment barn, catch pen, and water and feed troughs. The entire tract was surveyed prior to building the four-strand barbed wire fence which precisely follows the survey lines. Approximately two acres of the tract lie on the other side of Hwy 331. This section of the highway is a candidate for four lane expansion in the future which would most likely involve the acreage across the road.
There are several options for best use of this tract. It would be an ideal site to build that special country home or retreat and continue raising cattle. Or, it could continue to be used for both cattle and for growing timber. Approximately 75 acres of natural timber was harvested in 2013. That acreage could be turned into additional pasture, replanted in fast-growing pine trees, or allowed to regenerate a mixed stand of natural timber, as has been done in the past. The location, given the recent growth in the general area, also provides for potential commercial and/or industrial-use.
