Spring Creek Ranch is setup to be completely off grid- from its solar powered water well to its solar powered 1200 square foot cabin. If a big storm rolls in, it is outfitted with a backup generator located in the outbuilding. Heated with a large wood stove and equipped with a large propane fridge to ensure the solar system will not get over loaded. Also, to take it to the next level of living off the land, there is a large green house setup for growing your own vegetables.
Recreation
Spring Creek Ranch borders 520,000 acres of Cibola National Forest. Endless possibilities of recreational enjoyment from Atv’s to miles of trails for Horseback riding and mountain biking. A short 15 mile drive to Bluewater Lake state park if you wish to fish for the world famous Tiger Musky.
With the Rocky Mountain Elk being reintroduced in the early 1900’s Game unit 10 really experienced a boom in the elk population in the late 1980’s. Today, you can find world class Rocky Mountain Elk throughout the unit. Mule Deer have always had an appearance in the unit and are highly noted to be Boone and Crockett worthy. With over 90,000 more applicants applying for big game tags in 2021 over 2020, there’s no better time to own your own property. Spring Creek Ranch is home to the Merriam Turkey and the Black Bear with the Unit 10 black bear known to have the color phase genetic. This property has historically received 1 elk tag.
