Living with a large wood stove that heats the entire house, dining and kitchen are all open concept. A large king-sized master bed and log and tile bathroom with its oversized tub provide the comfort you deserve when you get away from the hectic life in the city. Upstairs there is a tile and log 3/4 bath which serves a queen bedroom and a single bedroom as well as a sitting and reading area which has a futon couch that sleeps two as well. The couch in the living room is a sleeper for two guests as well, so the entire cabin comfortably sleeps a total of 9.
The basement is finished with a slab and brick walls, and stretches throughout the length and width of the cabin and provides ample space for food and supplies storage.
A 2 bedroom 600 sf guest house with a handicapped access ramp and a large covered porch is included.
The 3,440 square foot adobe barn includes 8 stalls for horses or smaller livestock plus a hay storage room and a tack room, and could also be divided to include a greenhouse area.
The hoop house by the cabin was used to grow vegetables during the growing season.
This property is at the head of the Tularosa Creek irrigation community, the creek runs through the property via a north irrigation ditch, a south irrigation ditch, and it runs through the middle of the property when the property is not being irrigated. There are 27.54 acre feet total of diversion water rights, and the two houses and the barn are supplied with Aragon Village water. Keep your horses, cattle, sheep or goats on irrigated ground, watered and fed!
The property abuts private lands on all sides. National Forest access to the hundreds of thousands of acres of the Gila Wilderness for hiking, hunting, horseback or ATV's is from Hwy 12 only a few hundred feet from Graveyard Rd that leads you to cabin from Hwy 12.
