The Carter Ranch is located on the Blackfoot River Road in Soda Springs, Idaho. The ranch is comprised of 1,915.67 acres and is primarily used for summer pasture, supporting 250 Animal Unit Months (AUM) from June through October. Approximately 1,287 acres of the ranch have been seeded into pasture grasses, while the remaining 624-hillside-acres are used for dry grazing and shade during the warmer summer months. Although primarily used as a cattle ranch operation, the Carter Ranch provides exceptional habitat and forage for resident elk and deer populations, as well as sharp-tailed grouse and ruffed grouse throughout the year. Access is year-round via the Blackfoot River Road.
