The house was built in 2003, and is a one of a kind that has been custom designed for this site by Fargo architect, Jay Pepple. Heating and Cooling:
The house features a geo-thermal heating and cooling system, which is very comfortable and extremely economical! The system consists of four geo-thermal furnaces/air conditioners that are serviced by 21 210 foot deep wells that heat and cool the house as well as heat the water. The house is connected to rural water and has a 12,000 gal reserve tank. Over $100,000 was spent to bury the electrical lines, rural water, high speed cable and build the road into this location.

Ranch Buildings:
The ranch headquarters are situated around a 5,000 sq. ft. metal building (shop), which includes a heated office, bathroom, kitchen, and large lounging area. Attached is a fully equipped corral for working cattle and horses.
The Area:
The Stone Idol Ranch is located six miles to the west of Pollock, SD, a small friendly town with farming, ranching, and recreation as the main activities. The ranch is within 30 to 45 minutes of two local golf courses and about an hour and half from Bismarck and great food, shopping, airport, and golf.
Wildlife:
All ranching and farming operations place an emphasis on wildlife, preservation, production, and habitat for the increase of Pheasants, Sharp-Tail Grouse, Hungarian Partridge, Waterfowl, Mule Deer and White-Tail Deer.
The Oahe Reservoir is a 150 mile long wide body of water created by the Missouri River dam at Pierre, SD. It is known for some of the worlds finest Walleye fishing as well as Northern Pike, Small Mouth Bass, White Bass, Catfish, and Perch; King Salmon are commonly caught in the deeper waters near the dam.
