The Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve has many trails, some lagoon beaches, and is home to a vast array of wildlife. Mount Soledad and the Mission Trails Regional Park which includes Cowles Mountain, San Diego River, and Kumeyaay Lake are perfect for long hikes and have many vantage points for viewing wildlife.
