The San Diego County region of California is filled with attractions and outdoor destinations suited for any number of activities. SeaWorld San Diego is a fantastic animal theme park which is a marine mammal park with an outside aquarium. A couple highly visited spots are Balboa Park and Point Loma. Balboa Park has many walking paths, museums, several theaters, and the renowned San Diego Zoo which is home to over 3,700 animals and 650 different species.
The seaside community, Point Loma, is well known for its lighthouses, fishing, parks, and large cliffs. There are also a lot of places in the area to go find wildlife. The Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve has many trails, some lagoon beaches, and is home to a vast array of wildlife. Mount Soledad and the Mission Trails Regional Park which includes Cowles Mountain, San Diego River, and Kumeyaay Lake are perfect for long hikes and have many vantage points for viewing wildlife.
