Bangs Slough North (#03019-03113) is located in the southern part of Calhoun County along county road #131 just north of Bangs Slough. This property offers GREAT hunting opportunities as well as timber investment. The various habitats on the property make it great for game. The two pine plantations offer great cover for deer and other game. One was established in 2007 while the other was planted in 2009. There is approximately 73 acres of hardwood timber that is heavy to oak that should really pull in the game as acorns begin to mature in the fall. Located in the northwest portion of the tract is a wetland area that covers approximately 33 acres and provides some great waterfowl habitat. There is an additional 51 acres that were harvested in 2011. If left as is this area should provide some great browse and cover for deer in the near future however if reforested with pine it should not only provide great habitat but greatly add to the future timber revenue of the property. With electricity available along the county road, there is also great cabin site potential at the north end of the property.
