Matern Mesa

+- 154 acres just north of Marble Falls in southern Burnet County. There is roughly 100 feet of elevation change across the property with scenic long-range Hill Country views from the top of the mesa. Two wet weather creeks traverse the property creating a small floodplain area. Both creeks run into Backbone Creek. Numerous oak, elm, mesquite, and cedar trees cover the property creating a very remote feel even though you are close to town. A recently reworked water well provides water for livestock and wildlife. The well is drilled into the hickory sandstone aquifer and is relatively shallow at only 80 feet. PEC single-phase power is run to the well and a 3-phase line is on the property near CR 120.
