Levees have been constructed and the water levels are manipulated for the planting of Millet and Smartweed growth. Annual rainfall is generally adequate to fill the wetland units for hunting, but if necessary, pumping from the river, or the mouth of Mill Creek can be done. Mill Creek runs through the property for about two and one-half miles and is a major highway for trophy deer, turkey and hogs. There are also two additional smaller creeks on the ranch.
