Saint Maries, Idaho is affectionately known as the Hidden Jewel of the Gem State. This is not surprising considering the natural beauty that surrounds this community. The town was established at the confluence of the St. Maries and St. Joe Rivers. So opportunities for fishing, boating and water sports are right at its residents fingertips. Besides these activities, other recreational opportunities available include camping, hiking, snowmobiling or garnet hunting in the St. Joe National Forest. St. Maries is also the departure point of the St. Joe River Scenic Byway which follows the St. Joe River to the Montana border. The community also enjoys local events and activities like the annual Paul Bunyan Days, jet boat racing, the Benewah County Fair and visiting the Hughes House Museum.

Within 12 miles of this charming town is the off grid recreational retreat known as Riverview. True to its name, Riverview has an amazing view of the St. Maries River from the bluff in the southwest corner of the property. The rest of the property consists of gentle rolling topography with an established road system and a nice mix of trees dispersed throughout. This landscape provides multiple locations for either a campsite or a building pad for a hunting cabin. The property also provides plenty of privacy, especially since the approximately 160.16 acres is bordered by State of Idaho Lands on both the West and South. Wildlife such as deer and elk love to frequent the area.
