The Red Creek Ranch
654 +/- Acres
Baylor County, Texas
This combo ranch provides the best of three worlds - hunting, farming, and ranching - or could be developed to focus specifically on any of these three. The land is well laid out, with 418 acres of native pasture on the west and east sides, three cultivated fields, totaling 161 acres, in the middle, and a 75 acre coastal bermuda pasture in the front. All of the fields and pastures are cross-fenced with five-line, barbed wire fences, for easy rotation of cattle.
The ranch has five ponds, one of which is a beautiful two acre body of water just behind the headquarters. There are two creeks, the main one being the seasonal Red Creek, which runs through the east side of the ranch for over a mile. Edna's Creek, the other smaller creek, runs along a deep draw on the west side.

Red Creek is lined with tall elm and hackberry trees. The pastures have mesquite, with scattered cedars, and were sprayed several years ago to stunt the mesquite growth. Various native grasses and brush support abundant wildlife and strong grazing.
At the headquarters, in the middle of the ranch, is a well-kept 2BD/1BTH home, with bunkhouse and metal storage building. A large hay barn and smaller metal barn provide room to store feed, equipment, and tools. A set of pipe working pens, with several lots, gives ample space to sort cattle. There are three grain bins on site too.
Hunting on the ranch is excellent for whitetail deer, feral hog, Rio Grande turkey, quail, dove, and predators. The ranch lies just a couple of miles south of the Brazos River and is in an area with lots of wooded areas and creeks, coupled with cultivated fields that provide the nutrition needed to grow large racks.
