The 134.895 acres is located in the Standifer Survey, where William Bailey Standifer fought at the historic Battle of San Jacinto in 1836. This was the decisive battle of the Texas Revolution that was led by General Samuel Houston, and resulted in the defeat of General Santa Anna and his Mexican Army. Roger Arbuckle and Ronda Kirk are 8th generation Texans who are direct descendants of William Bailey Standifer who came to Texas in 1828 as a part of Stephen F Austins Little Colony.
