Description: Little Montana Ranch is a serene Hill Country property comprised of a variety of natural features and terrain that is steeped in rich local history. In 1866 one of the founders of Utopia, R.H. Kincheloe, and his family lived on or very near the property that is now Little Montana. In October of that year, their home was the target of a late-night Indian raid, leaving Kincheloes wife Sarah and their friend Ann Bolin gravely injured. Sarah survived, but sadly Ann succumbed to her wounds. This story is well-known locally, and traces of its influence echo over the land here, making it a popular place to hunt for artifacts and arrowheads There are also several midden sites from the various tribes that occupied the area: Apache, Comanche, Taovayas and Tawakonis.
