Central Louisiana Timbered Hunting Tract

Not only is this property located in one of the most desired parishes for producing big deer, it lies less than one mile from Grand Cote Wildlife Refuge which is a 6,705-acre sanctuary for thousands of ducks each year. Because of its east-central location, the Refuge is a magnet for both the Mississippi and Central Flyways. The pictures were taken the day after a heavy rain and fresh deer tracks were plentiful.  Several food plots already exist with easy opportunities to add more. A mostly predominate pine timber property with mature hardwood bottomland located on the northern portion. The pine trees were thinned 2 years ago creating excellent browse and cover for deer. Hundreds of acres of surrounding cropland and weed fields make it ideal for growing big bucks.
