Timber Reserve Weyerhaeuser has a Timber Reserve on the trees through 2028. This means they will clear cut and replant the pines and select cut the hardwoods by 2028. They pay the land owner approximately $15,000 per year which is transferred to the purchaser. (The lease payment is based upon the Wholesale price Index for all commodities)
There is an opportunity to by the timber reserve (thus the timber itself) from Weyerhaeuser. A copy of the will be given to interested parties.
Aside from the hunting there are numerous places to camp out and fish on Big Mulberry Creek which is a wide gravel water source. You can put a raft or inner tube in the Creek and float down stream until your hearts content.
