The Haynie-Embrey House, a Texas Historical Home, was built in Brenham, Texas in 1899 by John T. Embrey (a Confederate Army veteran) and his wife, Nellie. The Haynie-Embrey House was purchased in 1975 by Camden and Virginia Jenkins and moved from Brenham to the Jenkins ranch in Bleiblerville, where it was originally restored. In 2007, its current owner completely dismantled the house down to its framing, rebuilt it by restoring its original detailed interior materials while maintaining its architectural details, adding a state of the art island kitchen, insulated windows and doors, and an additional wing with a fireplace.
