Around 1888, Kosoma was a boomtown with a railroad depot and saw mills supported by the surrounding timber industry. By the 1900s, Kosoma was in fast decline due to the changing industry and the town eventually was abandoned. Most people and businesses moved to the town of Antlers. Today, this area is a vast untouched wilderness of mountains and timber. Wildlife is abundant in this area, including whitetail deer, bear, and various other species. At the south base of Buck Creek Mountain flows Caney Creek. The north base has the beautiful water of Buck Creek flowing along the north property border. Spend your day on the banks of these creeks searching for arrowheads. This property supports the meaning of recreational land which includes camping, fishing, swimming, hiking, hunting, rock climbing, and relaxation while enjoying the amazing Oklahoma sunset.
