Following the road along the cornfields entering this property I noticed there were lots of deer tracts going up and down the road, more than normal. As I pulled up to the gate of the property and peaked over the hill I understood why. I was blown away at what I was looking at. The first thing you see is huge river bottom timber that looks like its been untouched for generations. This property is truly a rare site in Kansas. It reminds me if the Mississippi river bottoms of Illinois, Arkansas and Mississippi where I grew up. It’s a true sanctuary and recreational paradise. As I followed the road into the farm I came up on a really nice food plot tucked into the timber and could only imaging what it would be like to sit in all that big timber and watch the deer come and go out of that food plot come November. I followed the road until it came out on a big gravel bar in the river and thought to myself this would be the perfect place to hang out in the summer and cast a line. And I can only imagine what the waterfowl hunting would be like on this wide river once all the ponds freeze up in the area. You would usually have to buy a lot more acres than this to acquire such a place, making this a real rarity in Kansas. Its everything an outdoorsman is looking for in a smaller acreage farm.
