The South Strong Farm (#03019-03586) is a +/- 66-acre parcel of timberland located in southeastern Union County lying about 3 miles south of Strong, AR (North 33.06584, West 92.351484). The topography consists of well-drained rolling hills with a creek drain running through the middle. Access is excellent with frontage to AR-Hwy 275 aka "Oakland Road" running along the western edge of the property. An old camp/home site once existed on the property with some utilities available along this highway; the property is within the Strong-Huttig School District. About 25 acres of what once was an old pasture/field was planted with pine in 2017, a fenceline runs around this stand. A mostly hardwood creek drain runs through the center of the property with another 25 acres of more upland natural pine/hardwood in the eastern portion of the property. According to the USDA NRCS web soil survey, the soil composition of the property contains an assortment of fine sandy loams and Sacul-Sawyer Complex, which gives the tract an excellent weighted average site index of 90 feet for Loblolly Pine (base age 50).
