Pine Island is and area north of Lake Pontchartrain that derives its name from raised areas of pine timber in among lower and more marshy areas. It creates a great combination of higher land on the north portion of this 3050 +/- acres of approximately 300 acres that is suitable for residential and commercial development that is booming on the North Shore. The remaining land is a recreational paradise. It contains a 300 acre cypress studded lake and raised roads for access to all of the property.
