As you make your way through the trees along the river trail, you come upon some of the most beautiful natural water in Texas. The Frio River flows serenely through the limestone canyon and offers many activities with some excellent deep water pools for fishing.
Properties along this area are bisected by Old Rocksprings Road and the acreage across the road has not been enhanced and remains a blank canvas for keeping horses or other livestock. This is a secluded area with easy access to Leakey. Enjoy nearby Garner State Park, the famed Twisted Sisters driving route, horseback riding at Elm Creek Stables, fishing, tubing, rafting, the Lonestar Motorcycle Museum, Lost Maples State Natural Area, and the Fourth of July Jamboree and Rodeo! The area offers nearby restaurants and other services.
Only an hour and a half from San Antonio, Leakey has been nicknamed the Swiss Alps of Texas, due to its elevations and deep canyons, split by the Frio and Nueces Rivers. With a population of only 425 at the last census, Leakey is a place for relaxation and enjoying the great outdoors.
If you are looking for true paradise and a place to cool-off in the summertime, this is surely a place you need to experience. Currently being offered for vacation rental, you can come spend a night or two before making any decision. However, when you stay, you may not want to leave.

From Leakey, head North on Ranch Road-336 to Old Rocksprings Road (Deer Rock Ranch Monument), where you turn right and go approximately 2.5 Miles. You will cross over three (3) low-water crossings and the property begins just past the sign that has 'Scott' on the address sign.
