Approximatley 58 acres are currently in agricultural production. The current crop is wheat and there is a tenant farmer in place. Once the wheat is harvested there will most likely be soy beans planted. Double crop soy beans often stay green into the early Kansas Muzzle Loader Season. On the East side of the property is a 27 acre hay meadow that also creates income. Access from the meadow allows a hunter to sneak to the backside of the crop field undetected early in the morning. A very secluded field is situated next to the dense timber and is a perfect ambush location for bucks on their way back to bed in the mornings. Access from the West is through the pasture. The pasture provides a source of income. The grass that grows in the pasture can be used for year round cow/calf pair grazing or a short season lease for yearlings over the summer months. Two creeks and one pond are located in the pasture and it is fenced in.

Kansas has long been known for its outstanding whitetail deer hunting. For years hunters would see all of the wild turkeys that we had and soon enough the Kansas Turkey hunting craze was born. Individuals from across the country and globe come to the Wheat State to chase long bearded blabber mouth turkeys in these beautiful crop fields and hardwoods. With all of that being said there is a newer phenomenon that has been born in Kansas and it happened the same way that the turkey craze did. Deer hunters set in their blinds and stands and watched massive amounts of mallards and giant flocks of geese dump into these Kansas ponds and crop fields. Everyone came for deer, but it did not take long to see that the waterfowl hunting is world class.

A set of double ponds are located in the crop field. The ducks and geese loaf on the ponds and dry feed in the fields. It is not uncommon to drive by and count hundreds of birds using this farm. These two existing ponds have great cover around them to hide in while hunting. Also, there is a lower portion of the crop field that has a tendency to stay wetter than the rest. This part of the field is fairly flat and with a little dirt work could be turned into a marsh to amplify the waterfowl hunting.
