The Ranch is conveniently located near several quaint Texas towns including Luling, Lockhart, Gonzales, Seguin, and Bastrop. All of these towns are approximately 30 minutes from the ranch, providing easy access to grocery stores, Doctors, and other small town resources. Each of these small towns have their own charm and amenities to offer. Austin is the main metroplex located near the ranch, less than an hour away offering close proximity to big city opportunities. Located off of CR 462 adds to the secluded feel and overall privacy of the ranch.
TERRAIN:
The Harwood 237 has gently rolling topography with the highest elevations of 430 ft located on the western portion of the property. The ranch is heavily wooded with cleared pasture to the northeast, and features four nice-sized ponds, intermediate wet weather creeks, and sandy soils. Nice post Oaks, Live oaks and other mature trees provide great diversity, intensifying the wildlife habitat on the ranch.
IMPROVEMENTS:
The ranch is primarily a blank canvas but features thoughtful improvements. Winding dirt roads make up an extensive trail system throughout the ranch and provide great access. The property is also fully fenced with cattle pens located close to the center of the property. The Harwood 237 Ranch is primed for hunting with a 16 ft. tall 5x7 Monster Blind that is fully carpeted and features slide-over and pull-out'' windows and integrated gun rests (with an additional storage shelf inside). WATER:
This area of Gonzales County is known to have great underground water with the Carrizo-Wilcox. Neighbors in the area have wells producing anywhere from 20 gpm -100 gpm, with their wells ranging anywhere from 250 ft to 700 ft deep. There are three ponds and intermediate wet weather creeks that run diagonally across the property, both providing great water sources for the wildlife.
