Cigarette Bar is a true island in the Mississippi River. Cigarette Bar is a trophy deer hunters paradise! The property is bordered to the north by the famous Brandywine Island property and to the west by several large landowners who also practice quality deer management. Cigarette Bar is only 12 miles north of downtown Memphis and is directly across the river from Meeman-Shelby Forest State Park/WMA. Access to the property consists of a short 3.3 mile boat ride from the Shelby Forest boat ramp. In the spring, turkey hunting opportunities abound and in the winter the willow flats and river chutes of Cigarette Bar make a great stopping point for ducks on their annual migration. Duck hunting can be especially good when temperatures plunge in Dec./Jan. as some of the last remaining open water areas can be found in the river chute surrounding Cigarette Bar.
