The Unit 12 Lil Hawk 1280 Acre Ranch, located just 8 miles north on Hwy 36 from Quemado, New Mexico, offers some of the best hunting, views and solitude of any ranch in Catron County. The Lil Hawk consists of 604 acres Deeded and 640 acres of State lease. This property borders the Great Western Ranch, arguably the best elk hunting ranch in Western New Mexico. Lil Hawk has one operating wind mill with a couple of tire drinkers with floats. The Lil Hawk Ranch has it all: Elk Hunting, Views and Solitude. I personally think the solitude of Lil hawk, is its best attribute. But the Elk hunting is pretty darn good as well.
